It provides knowledge of addressing and subnetting of IPv4 and IPv6, operating Cisco routers; enabling learning of IPv4 routes with OSPFv2, configuring and verifying host connectivity, subnetting design, VLSM, IPv4 Access Control Lists (ACL), Network Address Translation (NAT); and performing routing of IPv6 and troubleshooting network.


There are no prerequisites for this course or exam. Students should have a reasonable amount of IT knowledge with it being an online course. A Basic understanding of computer systems and network technologies is recommended. Students could complete the CompTIA Network+ Course if they feel their knowledge could be improved prior to study.

Course Duration & Support:

Students may register at any time and have 12 months access to the course materials. This home study course is designed as a self-study course but email support is available for the 12 month period. As the course is self-study you can complete in as little or as long a time as you prefer.


Assessment is from the CCNA 200-125 Routing & Switching Examination. The Examination has 50-60 questions in a multiple choice / multiple answer / drag and drop / fill in the blank / router simulation / testlet question / simlet format over a 90 minute period.
